Abstract
In this work, we present a new SOR-procedure with projection for solving quadratic optimization problems resulting from Signorini Problems in linear elasticity. The procedure is based on a variable transformation and exploits the sparsity structure of problems which are obtained by finite element discretizations. An accelerated variant of the procedure is presented which is based on a CG-like method. The convergence of the procedures is proven and numerical results are discussed in the context of contact problems.
