01 · Recommended CMS

Use the CMS configurator

Cleanest path: the CMS provides automatic installers for every platform. The server certificate is set up correctly out of the box.

02 · Manual setup

If auto-config fails

Windows 10/11

Pick the "eduroam" network, then at the prompt:

  • Username: account@hu-berlin.de
  • Password: HU account password

macOS / iOS

Install the profile via the CMS configurator – the standard Wi-Fi dialog usually isn’t enough (certificate missing).

Linux (NetworkManager)

Pick "eduroam", then:

  • Wi-Fi Security: WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise
  • Auth: PEAP or TTLS
  • Inner: MSCHAPv2
  • CA Cert: T-TeleSec GlobalRoot Class 2

Android

Follow the CMS PDF – Android versions differ. CA certificate is mandatory (System / TeleSec).
