• The class is now finished. This page remains here for archival purposes.
• Another interesting source on the web for linear algebra stuff is MIT's OpenCourseWare project. Notably, there's a full online linear algebra course featuring RealVideo lectures by Gilbert Strang, whose two textbooks on the subject are both highly recommended. (The more basic one, "Introduction to Linear Algebra" is the source for your Homework 9, and there's a copy of it in my office if you ever wish to look. The more advanced one -- it's only a bit more advanced -- has a few copies on reserve in the Courant library, 12th floor of WWH.)
• Check out the following Java Applets by David Austin (thanks to Alex Barnett for pointing these out!):
  • matrix transformations of a single vector (drag the red arrow to change the vector x, or the slider-bars to change the entries of the matrix: the result Ax is shown in grey
