Dr. Carlos N. Rautenberg

Junior Research Group Leader (ECMath-Nachwuchsgruppenleiter) for

Numerics and Optimization of Robust Equilibria

Welcome to my homepage. I am currently a ECMath (Einstein Center for Mathematics Berlin) Junior Research Group Leader at the Department of Mathematics of the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin.

I am the head of the Matheon Project C-SE19: Optimal Network Sensor Placement for Energy Efficiency, and Co-PI in Project 11: Optimal Control of Elliptic and Parabolic Quasi-Variational Inequalities in the DFG SPP 1962: Prioriy Programme.

I am also a member of the Applied Mathematics Group directed by Prof. Michael Hintermüller and a scientist at the Weierestrass Institute within Research Group 8.

My research interests involve several areas of applied mathematics: optimal control, variational and quasi-variational inequalities, optimal filtering, parameter estimation, sensor placement, Riccati equations and mathematical imaging.
